Netherlands
The Netherlands, with its enchanting glabed houses, picturesque canals, and colorful outdoor markets is one of Europe’s most captivating countries. It is a glorious blend of perfectly preserved medieval cities, Deluxe accommodations and exquisite dining. It shows history and civility, bustling cities and tranquil landscapes, and it is one of the few places left in the world where you can find your way about with a 300 year-old map. In the capital, Amsterdam, the “Low Country” light is luminescent. It casts a magical glow across the endless waterways arched with hump-backed bridges and towering trees. Visitors can wander the ancient cobblestone streets; poke about in the exquisite antique shops; stop at Rembrandt’s House and the home of Anne Frank; view the Great Dutch Masters and the world’s largest collection of Van Goghs. And when they feel they can’t walk another step a bench in a park filled with flowers, or a café with hot chocolate and coffee is happily on every corner.
